Twilight is that magical time between light and dark. To painters, it is the “blue hour”, to photographers it is known as “sweet light”. It is at these times that we traditionally came together to take the time to acknowledge the beginning or end of a day. Our Twilight Collection is built around the idea that our finely crafted candles capture that same sweet light for everyone to enjoy. Dinner Candles

Twilight Collection Dinner Candles are produced in Germany using a drawing process which is one of the oldest candle production techniques. They are made to burn smokeless, dripless and burn with a calm flame in still air. During the drawing process the wick is repeatedly drawn through hot wax. Each time more wax is accumulated until the candle has reached the required thickness. It is a very slow process as more than 1 kilometer of wick runs through the machine prior to the first candles being ready. This drawing process creates the unique finish of our Twilight Dinner Candles and these coloured layers can be seen like the rings on a tree trunk. Our candles are coloured throughout and thanks to the production method have a long burn time and a very attractive flame.

Only the highest quality raw materials used to create the Twilight Dinner Candles. All materials have been certified with the prestigious RAL Quality Mark issued by the European Candle Association. We use only high-quality, fully-refined paraffin which has been certified for food contact. It been cleaned of contaminants to burn free of residues and is classified harmless for human health and the environment. Only 100% cotton wicks are used and the dyes used to create the vibrant colour are pure and suitable for use in toy production in the EU.

 Danish Tapers

Twilight Danish Tapers Candles are produced in Denmark and carry on the long tradition of the original candle shape made and admired since ancient times. They are dipped by hand, producing the finest taper candles which are made to burn smokeless, dripless and with a very elegant flame in still air.

During the dipping process the wick is repeatedly dipped into a bath of hot coloured wax. Each time more wax is accumulated until the candle has reached the required thickness. This dipping process creates the exquisite finish of our solid-coloured Twilight Taper makes it a classic candle for any occasion.

Green Dinner Candles

Twilight Green Dinner Candles are produced in Germany using 100% vegetable wax. To make these candles, the 100% cotton, lead-free wick is suspended in a mould and 100% natural liquid wax is poured around it. When hardened the wax forms crystal-like structures giving our Twilight Green Dinner Candles their unique appearance.

Our vegetable wax is made out of the fruits from oil palm trees; therefore, is organically sustainable and biodegradable. Only the fruits from the trees are harvested to produce the oil, leaving the trees to continue growing and playing a vital role in their local ecosystem. Vegetable palm wax has a very high melting point and hardness making for very long burning candles. Palm wax burns dripless and smoke-free when burnt in still conditions.

We use only high-quality palm wax that is farmed and supplied by certified RSPO members who promote the growth and use of sustainable oil palm. 100% cotton wicks are used and the dyes used to create the vibrant colour are pure and certified for use in toy production in the EU and bear the prestigious RAL Quality Mark issued by the European Candle Association.

Rustic Pillars

Candle-making is an ancient craft. From one generation to the next, the basic secrets and techniques are not changed, just refined to create higher quality products. Thus we have created our Twilight Collection Rustic Pillar Candles which are produced by hand using a simple ancient technique. The secret to creating the attractive rustic finish is as simple as pouring cooled wax into a chilled mould. The coldness of the mould creates the rustic effect of the candle as soon as the wax is poured into the metal mould making each candle an original.

To get the most enjoyment out of your pillar candles, we would recommend that you burn your candle for no less the 3 hours and no longer than 5 hours at a time. If the flame height becomes too low, pour off the excess liquid wax. If the flame height becomes too high, trim the wick with scissors.
